Lake Vermilion is located in northern Minnesota, about 30 miles south of the Canadian border. Please note that if you are arriving by airplane, a rental car is a must.

The Duluth International Airport (DLH) is the closest major airport 85 miles from Lake Vermilion. However, this airport is small and is only served by Delta Airlines, United Airlines, and Allegiant Airlines.

The Minneapolis Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) is the largest airport in the state, serving almost all airlines. Located 220 miles from Lake Vermilion , it is also a hub for Delta Airlines.

You can also fly into Hibbing (HIB) MN, 55 miles from the cabin, with a connection on Delta through MSP or International Falls (INL) MN, 75 miles from the cabin, with a connection on Delta through MSP.
